Treatment
A 2016 SAMSHA survey found that 30% of those who wanted to get help for their substance use disorder failed to do so because of expense or they did not have insurance. Equally concerning are the number of individuals who are discharged early from treatment against the advice of the clinicians treating them as insurance companies deny payment for any further care, resulting in a patient being forced to leave treatment prior to building a foundation in recovery.
PURPOSE:

-
Provide individuals with the ability to start treatment even if their Medicaid benefits have not yet been activated.

-
Reinforce to individuals in recovery that insurance company approvals or denials will not determine treatment needs and timelines; their clinical team will.

-
Physical health is as important as mental health when developing a foundation for long-term recovery. Provide funds for medical needs that go far beyond counseling.
Recovering addicts can live a life free and clear from drugs and alcohol without addiction treatment. However, without addressing the "why" or trauma behind what is driving an addict to find comfort from drugs and alcohol, they cannot live a life that they love. The Circle Road Foundation wants to ensure that anyone with the desire to commit and attend treatment has the opportunity to do so.
